The Office of Representative Frank Sossamon has announced a forthcoming town hall meeting that aims to address a critical topic for our community – broadband internet access. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 26, at 6:00 p.m. at the Granville County Convention and Expo Center.

In today’s interconnected world, access to reliable and high-speed internet has become an essential utility, impacting education, healthcare, business, and communication. Unfortunately, many members of our community still face challenges in accessing quality broadband services, hindering their ability to fully participate in the digital age.

The purpose of this town hall meeting is to facilitate an open and informed discussion about the state of broadband internet access in our county and to explore potential solutions and opportunities for improvement. The NC Department of Information Technology will be present to share insights and engage in a constructive dialogue.

The town hall meeting will feature informative presentations while providing a platform for attendees to voice their concerns, ask questions, and contribute their perspectives. Together, we aim to uncover strategies that will help bridge the digital divide, ensuring that every member of our community can benefit from the opportunities that broadband internet access brings.
