No. DSS can only provide Medicaid Transportation to those receiving Medicaid and attending Medicaid-covered services.
When can I apply for Medicaid Transportation?
Once you are receiving Medicaid, you can apply for transportation assistance.
Will my newborn be added to my case automatically?
No. Once your newborn is approved for Medicaid, you can then apply for Medicaid Transportation.
Why do I have to wait all day in Durham when my appointments end in the morning?
Our transportation provider takes all Granville County residents to their medical appointments. The provider cannot maintain going back and forth from each appointment for out-of-town trips.
