Burns & McDonnell, on behalf of Duke Energy, are proposing a cellular communication tower in Granville County at 3694 Bluebell Lane, Oxford. A balloon test is required as part of a special use permit for the proposed tower.
The balloon test is scheduled for Saturday, May 11 depending on weather conditions. The balloon will fly for a total of four hours between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the balloon test will be rescheduled to Tuesday, May 14 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The purpose of the test is to establish a visual assessment of the proposed tower.
