Russ May, Julia Gates, Susan Gates, and Tony Cozart
The Granville County Board of Commissioners recognized J.F. Webb High School student Julia Gates at their meeting on March 20.
Julia won the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. essay contest at the Oxford celebration held at Northern Granville Middle School in January. Julia read her essay to the Board of County Commissioners and was recognized on stage by Chair Russ May and District Four Commissioner Tony Cozart. Julia was joined on stage by her mother Susan Gates.
