Congratulations to Oxford’s Parks and Recreation Director, Tina Cheek, and the City of Oxford for opening Granville County’s first dog park! The grand opening event was held on Saturday, June 30th. There was a great turnout with over 25 dogs in attendance. Granville County Animal Control was on site with 4 adoptable dogs and rabies vaccinations. Thanks to all the other vendors that came out to make the event a success. The dog park was funded by a recreation grant from the Granville County Recreation Advisory Committee.
